actually I was quite impressed with the Germans precision timing n teamwork
they were passing the ball in very quik timely pinpoint passes and showed why they are to be considered as 1 of the very best teams this year
the shame isnt on the Germans or their fans, the shame is clearly on the Netherlands .. I havent watched many soccer games , but I had never seen such poor sportsmanship, such overly aggressive, overly physical. bunch of bullys plodding all over the field .. and that was sad as their previous games were quality play .. but you could see that was there game plan was to wear down the Spaniards but the way they did it was ridiculous .. the referrees were doing all they could to NOT toss red cards to half the Dutch team and that was just the 1st half .. the 2nd half was even worse n even uglier .. another record of 14 penalties with 9 going to the Dutch .. the old record was 6 and that is combined by the 2 teams
Spaniards, Germans, and all the Euro teams were the class of the field in this years tourney .. it's too bad the Dutch had to be a bunch of bullys instead of being part of the pride our Euro mates must be feeling
and you cant say enough for Spain .. setting a world cup record by losing their 1st game and go on to win the cup has never happened before .. and add that Spain had never won a World Cup before .. add the way they were taking a beating from the Dutch and not only held their own against the bullys but showed them how the game is played with tough gritty teamwork n determination
Congratulations to my Spanish mates ..

You both are right.
The dutch team has play much aggressive without fairness.
That cost them the victory.
We Germans had too much reverence against Spain and were
too afraid, therefore, we have lost.
Otherwise we have played a good tournament, a pity, it has
not been enough.
Maybe in 2014 we will win the cup or maybe in 2012,
then we could become European champions.
Thank you for your interest in soccer. |

I found this article .. it seems the North Koreans arent very happy the world cup team lost
seems that about 400 people got to voice their anger at the players in a "dressing down" and the coach was fired, booted from the party and sent to work on a construction site

NORTH KOREA
Pyongyang: football team publicly humiliated for their losses at World Cup
by Joseph Yun Li-sun
Footballers are subjected to a six-hour dressing down by an audience of 400. The worst criticism was that they betrayed “the trust of Kim Jong-un”. Coach is expelled from party and sent to work on a construction site in the capital.
Seoul (AsiaNews) – North Korea’s football team were subjected to a six-hour public reprimand by 400 sports students and officials for betraying “the trust of Kim Jong-un” by losing all three of their World Cup matches. The coach was apparently sent to work on a construction site in the capital Pyongyang, but the players are thought to have been spared any specific punishment.
The dressing down supposedly occurred on 2 July on a stage at the People's Palace of Culture in Pyongyang, three days after they returned from South Africa, sources told Radio Free Asia.
The team's two Japanese-born players, Jong Tae-se and An Yong-hak, were exempt from the session; they apparently flew directly to Japan.
Sports Minister Pak Myong-chol was in the audience that criticised the players.
Ri Dong-kyu, a sports commentator for North Korea's state-run Korean Central TV, pointed out the mistakes of each player.
The reprimand especially focused on North Korea’s 0-7 rout at the hands of Portugal, which also eliminated North Korea in 1966.
Afterwards, players criticised coach Kim. According to rumours, the latter was expelled from the party and sent to work at a construction site in Pyongyang."
